Linking to this repository gets you banned on Reddit's Gaming subreddit
The moderators there consider this repository to be piracy. If you link to this, you will be banned.
I do not agree with that analysis.
I don't know if a README call out is necessary, but people do need to know this could happen.
It's just a baseless accusation. Or is it?

I was debating whether or not I felt comfortable posting the mod mail itself, so I added the screenshot later.
But yes, the accusation that this project is piracy is baseless in my opinion since you're not distributing any actual code or assets.
Edit: I sent the mods one of the many news articles about this project and they still won't budge. This project is 100% piracy to them.
In my opinion, this game is considered abandonware, aka a game that can no longer be bought nor is actively being sold or supported by the rights holder/publisher. So by that logic, you cannot even "legally" own this product unless you buy it second-hand on eBay or something, but even then, you're not giving money to the publisher, so it's morally okay to "pirate" such a game. It's not stealing if you cannot even buy it in the first place (although the law doesn't see that way). It seems that the mods of that subreddit need to be educated on what piracy actually is. They need to stop taking the "moral highroad" and accept what is and not piracy.
