some features in report editor appear online but not in pdf

In response to a student inquiry regarding the fact that the ANOVA output currently doesn't have a "drag to report" button, I decided to see what happens if I simply copy ANOVA output and paste it into the report editor. So I ran an ANOVA, and then used the mouse to select all the text:

Then I copied it (ctrl+c) and then I pasted it in the report editor (ctrl+v):

I was pleasantly surprised to see that it pasted it as a sort of box, with grey background and red text (although some of the output is pushed to a new line).

Let's check that it has that same nice box-with-colored-background-and-different-text formatting in the pdf version:

All the formatting in the pdf version is different.
