Feature request: Provide location of `.bib` file

Open HotLoverGirl69 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Hi,

I have my .aux and .bcf files in a directory that is different to where I have my .bib file. checkcites always assumes them to be in the same directory. Is there a way to point to the .bib file?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the feature request!

If memory serves, checkcites tries to honour the .bib location based on what is found in either .aux or .bcf, but that is indeed tricky, as most TeX-related tools work on relative paths. For the Kotlin rewrite (see here), the idea is to make all path references absolute and make everyone's life easier — hopefully. ;)

Hi,

thanks for the feedback. I will have an eye on the 3.0 release. Would be awesome if you could make it happen. If not your tool is a lifesaver anyways!
