Thank you!
Hi there,
First of all I wanted to thank you for your hard work and sharing this project. In my opinion, it is the best Photoshop SD project I've seen so far. The API connection works great, allowing easy access to different models. Being able to make selections instead of masks also works way better than I initially expected. And that for a project which had its first release last week! Like your username, it really feels like you and Stable.Art are from another world :)
Issue wise there aren't any major "bugs/complaints" at all which surprised me after testing out a lot if not most of the other Photoshop SD projects. The minor bugs like variation in color are easily fixed with a hue/saturation mask, rough edges with a mask and a soft brush and if I remember correctly, the README said you are already working on outpainting.
I'm never going back to another Photoshop SD plugin ever again :)
Wow, thank you for the such wonderful feedback, I really appreciate it! And yep, I am already working on outpainting, I hope to deliver it in the upcoming weeks.
About the bug with variation in color - I will check it after outpainting. About rough edges - could you provide any examples?
I want to make this plugin perfect, so feel free to create issues even for such minor bugs.
Sure, I'd gladly help where I can!
Do you have a discord where I could send the pictures too? Or another way of contacting for sending files with text?
You can just upload them right here, to this issue :)
ah sorry, I forgot that that was a possibility haha. Here are some pictures explaining the rough edge issue.
the file ending with _Original is the source image. The one ending with _1_Default is an example using a wound on the left cheek edited with Stable.Art without any further edits. _1_Moved is the same edit but moved slightly to better line up. The files ending with _2_default and _2_moved follow the same rule, only this time focusing on removing a part of the weapon right of the necktie.
As you might notice, the edits made with Stable.Art are:
- Slightly misaligned
- Slightly miscolored
- Have some hard outer edges (depending on the color)
The misaligning issue is fixed easily enough by using ~2 presses of the arrow keys, usually in a downwards and right direction most of the time as far as I've noticed
The miscoloring issue depends on the source color. In my case, light brown/brown colors got quite a different and noticable hue, lightness and saturation. This is pretty easy to fix with a Hue/Saturation mask though
The hard edges are more noticable with certain colors such as the brown I talked about above. Adding a mask to the layer and using a 0% hardness brush (very soft) to quickly brush around the very edges fixes this in an instant. I hope this is enough information but if it's not, feel free to send another message :)
Ah, got it. Yes, this is enough, thanks!
Hey, just pushed some changes, issues with misaligning and hard edges are fixed. Could you test it?
In theory, the miscolored problem is also fixed, but I cannot reproduce it, so I am not sure. If it still exists, could you try to reproduce it in the webui itself? I do not manipulate colors in any way, so most likely the problem is related to the webui. Maybe the setting "Apply color correction to img2img results to match original colors" in the webui could fix it.
