random igpu crashes

hi all if like me you find yourself (even through following the tutorials perfectly) in a situation where you can sometimes get random igpu crashes which cause your screen to go black for a few seconds whilst the driver is reloaded

then i'd suggest you take a look in your motherboard bios and try overclocking your igpu to the rated amount and see if that fixes it. for example my 7950x has a rated igpu of 2200mhz so i put itt to that value and it resolved all the crashes.

if you google around you can see multiple posts of people who also had this same issue and managed to resolve it this way. if it does fix it for you then congrats! additionally to note that the igpu's have a lot of headroom to overclock, mine for example i could run easily at 2800 mhz (stock 2200) and thats a generally conservative value
