Status of Hive
Hi,
I'd like to inquire about the status of the development of Hive. Looking at this discussion, I have not seen much activity since late August of last year. From what I understand, Hive will migrate to using Isar for data storage, but that also raises a question related to Isar's support on web (also refer to this, and this comment).
With that being said, I see quite a bit of issues piling up in the current repository, some mentioning the same problem as I've referenced above.
Any kind of information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Knowing how many online resources rely on classic hive approach with all its benefits and issues I wouldn't mind having a sort of fork in development of hive and isar-based hive. I think many developers would appreciate if the underlying implementation of hive boxes remained unchanged, whereas for those willing to migrate or enjoy new benefits there would be either a new package available, or new api under the same package.
There is a certain value in having long-lasting API that doesn't dramatically change despite new developments in Flutter or Dart. Being able to use hive in 2028 same way as it worked in 2022 would be something remarkable that not many other packages may offer (+ probably web/wasm support to make sure it stays alive).
Btw I realized that maybe our comments should be part of #1225?
@simc is the maintainer and Isar is used inside of Clickup from what I heard him mention last time.
I assume Clickup continues to require updates and they are a well funded company. Is Clickup using an internal fork and hence the public versions of Hive and Isar are being silently killed?
Either way, none of us are entitled to free updates or free labor. Hive still works but with package:web it'll need an update. I really hope all the effort put into this project isn't wasted.

It's very sad if public Isar and Hive are killed, the last update was made a year ago.
That PR migrates Hive v2 to support Flutter web WASM if anyone wants to try it
Great work, thank you very much!
Is there any update? Will this package be maintained?
@kamami I'm maintaining a fork of Hive v2 here: https://pub.dev/packages/hive_ce
