Other languages (locale) and questions
Excellent work on this. I had a couple of questions I'd like to ask.
Are you planning on developing this for other languages (as in, country languages, locale)? My company would like to use the plugin but we need that. We were actually in the process of building one ourselves when I saw yours.
And tied to this questions is, do you need help developing this? We were doing it ourselves and found yours, maybe we can work together and/or contribute to yours.
Cheers, keep up the good work.
Thanks @filipeskeeled! I appreciate you and your company expressing interest in this project.
Adding support for other languages is definitely in the plans for a future release in the near future. As far as what languages will be supported, I'm still at little uncertain of that at the moment. I'm currently making this for my company, so their needs will take precedence, but support for additional languages is something that they had definitely expressed interest in. The company that I work for created a mobile-friendly online learning platform called Smartly that primarily serves course material in English, Spanish, and Chinese, so I'm thinking that the last two will be supported in the future. Please feel to comment and list any languages that you would like to have support for.
As far as contributing goes, I'll have to get back to you on that. Since I'm making this for my company, I'll need to check with them about third party contributions. That being said, this is on GitHub, so if your company chooses to use this module then feel free to fork the project and continue working off of the already existing code base. I'll try to let you know soon if I'll be accepting pull requests.
Thanks again for expressing interest in this project!
Cool! Obviously their needs will take precedence and if we'd contribute to your project it would always be with that in mind.
I was wondering if you have any time estimation as to when you'll be working on languages. That is our most needed feature at this point, and I'm not putting any pressure, it's just for us to plan stuff. If you won't be working say, in the next 2 months, it might be something we could contribute with to your project, since we need it soon. If you're going to be building it sooner, then we'll wait until you start to see how you want things to be headed, and we'll pickup and contribute from there.
Come back to me with any news! Thanks.
