This bug drastically changes PvP and the community is extremely divided on it. This is not a clear-cut bug, since Mojang could choose to fix it the other way around and have the server believe they are sprinting after a hit.

For this reason, I don't think Debugify should be the one to decide on this. At the very most, it should be down as a gameplay fix.
