[Bug] Steam Deck back buttons not working

Current Behaviour

any time i try to assign the back buttons on my steam deck to an action, it just wont register

Expected Behaviour

assigning an action to the back buttons works!

im using decky and ive enabled the drivers, so i dont think thats the source of the problem
