Killzone 3 mounted guns, vehicles and mech camera hooks?

Currently the camera hook only works for the normal player. When you use a mounted gun, or you are on a tank or a mech, KAMI doesn't do anything. It's especially difficult for mech because you have to both move the mech and control the camera at the same time. Currently the workaround is to use a controller for those sections of the game.
