I have just checked with my JBL and it works as expected. What headphones do you use?

You can try to use Windows Task Scheduler and run **Volume² Autorun** task every for example hour or 10 minutes

If you mean hint/ttoltip than yes it is by design because we do not have possibility to detect where to show it. OSD should be shown.
What settings do you have in Volume2? Can you send Config.ini or screenshots?
Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it.
