Rotating mouse wheel over taskbar not working sometimes

Open chaoscreater opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

Hi there,

Sometimes, rotating the mouse wheel over taskbar will not change the volume. To fix this, I can either disable Volume2 for All or Mouse Actions, then re-enable it. Or, I can just terminate the process and relaunch it.

Volume2 is run as administrator and it works most of the time. But not sure why sometimes it craps out and am unable to replicate the issue.

A quick workaround that would work for me is to add a keyboard shortcut that disables/enables Volume2 for Mouse Actions. I can use something like Autohotkey to trigger the shortcut to quickly enable/disable to fix and create this as a scheduled task to run every once in a while (which should at least minimize the chances of this issue happening).

Hello, I have the same problem even though I gave the program a high priority in the task manager. I also configured keys to do the same actions and these always work. I've always assumed that the program is buried in the ram usage (maybe in the memory cache) and that's why it's not reactive. So lowering the ram usage may be help. I just gave a high priority to my "traymanager.exe", maybe it will help.
