Hotkey to change Volume2 "Audio Device" (not Windows Default Audio Device)
I'd like to change (using hotkeys) my windows default device and and the volume2 device seperatly. Curently volume2 hotkey changes windows default device which is possible to do in many different ways but changing volume2's audio doesn't seem possible using a hotkey. Is it possible and if not could it be added?
Also if there is any console command to do the same thing (which I could then add to a batch file) that would be fine aswell. Thanks
What hotkeys do you mean? You can set in Volume2 any device and configure hotkeys for it. Also you can configure alternative device and set hotkeys for it.
I mean that the shortcut in the first picture doesn't change the option shown in the second picture, but the "windows default" sound device. I'd like a seperate shortcut to change that option.
I could obviously change the option in the second image to "windows default" and then it would work but the problem is that I need to have volume2 adjust by default (not as a secondary device) a diferent device than the one currently default on windows
I have a similar request. I have two sound configurations for my computer.
Config 1 is simply a TV attached by HDMI.
Config 2, I select a VB Audio Cable device in Windows UI, which routes through EqualizerAPO and HeSuVi to emulate 7.1 sound out to my stereo USB headphone dac.
VBAC devices don't respond to volume control, so volume2 allows me to directly manipulate the volume of the USB DAC by selecting it in the UI, while VBAC device remains default in Windows.
What would be nice is a hot key that allows me to switch between my two configs.
Right now I can switch Windows audio device using a hotkey, but volume2 remains locked in on the USB DAC for volume control. If I could both switch Windows audio device and switch what device volume2 is controlling with a single hot key, that would be useful.
