CPU Usage and memory
Win 7 x64
Does it seem normal that Vol2 uses a minimum of 0.3% cpu constantly - while the system is idle ?
I can understand it reaching ~3% while actually changing volume but it just appears a little high when idle and under light system usage (moving the mouse, opening windows etc) it fluctuates between 0.4 and 0.8% - without changing any volume controls.
and also ~25 megabytes of memory ?
I`m just worried that there might be some kind of conflict with my specific setup/PC
Volume2 definitely uses up CPU when I wave my mouse around. Is it trying to tell if I'm mousing an edge? The icon?
Process Explorer (which displays decimal CPU) seems to show much more CPU activity than Taskmgr, for some reason.
However, it only takes up 2MB of memory (private working area, displayed by default).
Windows 10 x64. I don't recall having any such issues under 7 (which I used previously).
For me it uses around 1.2% CPU when the system is idle. That is a huge waste of resources for doing nothing. I have uninstalled it and stay with volumouse which uses 0% CPU.

Something is wrong with your OS, it consumes 0.1% from me and only at the moment of activity

This is a comically oversimplified pointless post. What exactly is "wrong with his OS" that makes this use resources? It has always consumed 1-2% of my CPU. Maybe you have a more efficient CPU? Maybe you're lucky with no bugs? There could be many different things causing this to happen, and without troubleshooting, we have no idea what's goin on. Of all the things to suggest, "something wrong with the OS" is just about the last thing I would write to anyone on github.
