Object Reference not set to an instance of an object - Steam Deck

Open Yahfz opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Zentimings fails to open on the Valve Steam Deck with the following error: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object

Does zentimings output any log somewhere to help you with debugging? If yes, let me know and i'll update the issue with one.

Hi, it does not output a debug automatically. You might try to disable advanced mode from settings.xml file by changing <AdvancedMode>true</AdvancedMode> to <AdvancedMode>false</AdvancedMode>

Sorry for the delayed reply. With those settings the application runs and reads the timings, thank you! image

Facing this issue on ZT1.35 but setting advanced mode to false does not resolve the issue. Not on a Steam Deck but a 7800X3D + Jginyue B650 Night Devil + 2x32gb 5600mt corsair sticks

tried both fresh downloads of 1.35 stable and ZenTimings_v1.36.1632-beta.zip

was working prior but have been messing with memory settings and now wont open. tried dism and sfc and .net repair tool, & defender is gone.

using the debug build here: https://github.com/irusanov/ZenTimings/issues/72#issuecomment-3344097135 (same occurs on v1.36.1865-debug)
