Submit an RFC after the protocol is stabilized.
After the protocol is (decently) stabilized and documented, it'd be great if we could submit an RFC defining it. It'd further the protocol, and provide a standard for alternative implementations of the core library.
It might be worth submitting a provisional scheme registration now to reserve the scheme name, alert people to the fact that it exists, and as a step toward getting the scheme approved once it does become finalized.
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7595#section-4 "'Provisional' registration can also be used as an intermediate step on the way to 'permanent' registration, e.g., before the scheme specification is finalized as a standard."

I am 100% for this. I'll do some research and get back to you.
