Feature-Request: Brand DDI pool support

Open powerpbx opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

It appears that the only way to add a DID in Artemis is to first create the brand, then the client, then add the DID to the client. You then need to go back to the brand if you want to assign that DID to the brand as the outgoing CID for clients.

Would it make more sense to do it the other way around? So add DIDs to brand and then assign a DID to the brand as default outgoing CID for clients. You then assign the DID routing in the client section the same as it is done now.

I think you are talking about a DDI pool: a list of DDIs assigned to the brand ready to be used, but not assigned to any client.

Yep, we already though about that in the past. I'll add it as future enhancement request.

Regards!

Yes, DID pool on brand.

Btw, DDI seems to be a more common term in Europe whereas DID seems to be the common term in N. America. Also not sure how familiar end users would be with "locution". Perhaps that is more common in Europe as well. I don't think it is a common term in N. America.

DDI (direct dial-in) Europe and Oceania DID (direct inward dial)

I see locution mostly refered as voice prompt in PBXs

We can open a new thread with grammatical changes and mistranslations.

There we can discuss future changes like scheme, locutions, and so on, and propose new or more correct alternatives. Although these changes are very low priority for us.
