Cannot dismiss menu on iOS

On iOS touch screen a tap on a top level menu will display a dropdown menu but that cannot then be dismissed by another tap on the same menu item or by a tap elsewhere (off the menu). The user must reload the page to dismiss the dropdown or tap on another menu item. (My personal preference is for touch anywhere to dismiss menu).
