File Transfers through server
The ability to send files, albeit with server size restrictions(size, bandwith), through the server instead of DCC.
This would keep users private from each other, or allow file transfers on networks that don't or can't allow clients to get IP addresses from eachother.
It will also allow servers to host files themselves. This might be useful for GPG or other crypto fills, recommended network specific plugins or other datasets.
We've had various discussions around file hosting on the server-side, mostly in the context of smaller team-based/more-carefully-controlled servers rather than Large Big Chat Networks. EXTJWT was interesting around this and Insp may be looking at something around this as well, but we'll see what happens. That whole convo dives into trust of the network and clients just hosting files themselves instead, like IRCCloud does. Interesting moving parts for sure.
