Spellcheck when using the Appimage on Linux doesn't work

When using the Appimage on Fedora 27 Linux, spellcheck doesn't seem to work at all. See the attached image.

I have verified that Edit > Check spelling as you type is checked.

This seems to be fixed in 0.9.0. Closing.

Spell check is broken again on 0.13.0.

I confirmed it works in irccloud-desktop-0.10.0-x86_64.AppImage but breaks in irccloud-desktop-0.11.0-x86_64.AppImage and beyond.

Is this working in the latest release 0.14.0?
