would be nice if ipfs.pics supported full IPFS paths, like http://ipfs.pics/ipfs/QmfXQeLt1mUvm1goR2W8PtXTKro8Jaor6iBMjy8EtoeQAi/cap.png

Would redirecting to cap.png's hash be a good implementation?

@cloutier no, ideally a user should be able to use a full path.

  • support /ipns/... paths too
  • people want to be able to preserve + read filenames
  • often encounter form fields that force them to have pages with particular extensions
