We should definitely have a alternative to Youtube where users can upload videos, view videos and find new videos.

@davidar It's actually in our todo list. We need to finish making ipfs.pics more scalable first though.

@cloutier that's very cool! When it's done I'll make sure to integrate it into my discussion board app thingy as soon as it gets media support. I planned to build my own little video upload and view thingy in the app, but it makes a lot more sense as a separate service.

@fazo96 Looks interesting! Pictures are working right now actually. We could also make is so that every piece of media in your boards is backed up and seeded on the ipfs.pics network if you want.

@cloutier Thanks for the interest! When my application actually starts being something more than a prototype that barely works we'll think of the best way to integrate ipfs.pics :+1:

+1 here, too. I was actually wondering on it; question would be the speed and reliability. As much as I love IPFS, as much of an issue it is that interesting files are often barely available, if at all.

For a viable service, reliability must somehow be ensured, but I'm yet to find a way for it.

What about booting some microsoft azure and google cloud servers and storage to do the seeds. Backblaze b2 could also be used for storage.
