Cannot change training settings

Open raymondskl opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

Trying to load a pretrained model as a basis for the deepfake, but the Press Enter in 2 Seconds dialog does not show up and thus cannot begin training with new datasets

Hi Ray, You have to time a press of Enter just after selecting the GPU.... i almost never see the 'Press Enter in 2 seconds' dialog so i'm used to pressing Enter, Enter.........Enter and it almost always catches. : )

I was having the same issue. But most of the time I was not able to enter into the menu by pressing Enter, Enter.........Enter. And the times I did. I had already changed a lot of settings for pressing Enter two many times.

Solution: Edit the following file _Internal\DeepFaceLab\models\ModelBase.py Search for "Press enter in 2 seconds" At the very end of that row you will find "else 2) ", change that to something bigger like 20.

This is what mine looks like after the change. return self.is_training and self.iter != 0 and io.input_in_time ("Press enter in 2 seconds to override model settings.", 5 if io.is_colab() else 20 )

Now you just wait a few seconds after selecting GPU and then press Enter.

Hope it helps someone else having the same issue :)

Did you ever find the answer? If so, would you mind sharing it and closing this issue?

My solution above worked consistently for me. But I don't know if it's still a valid solution now that it's been a year. And I don't know if OP ever tried my workaround.
