Version 2 lighting and shading isn't working like version 1 yet

I'm sure you are already aware of this most likely. I've been using these for awhile now and it's possible I'm just not using the right settings in V2... But shadows and lighting seem 100% better in V1. Not sure if this is the case for everyone. Again, I might be doing something incorrectly... But I'm using very similar settings from the old version. Anyway, here's a split screen video w/ version 1 on the left and version 2 on the right. This scene has heavy shadows on half his face and v1 just handles it right.

Are you using TrueFace? I've gotten some terrible results once I've enabled it (even at very small strength), can't show example but sides of the face suddenly got very bright, on some faces it looked like it kept parts of the background (my src had white/blueish background). I checked alignments and they all look correct and go along the edge of the face.

I might have turned it on towards the end of training for 5000 iterations or something like that. I’ll have to look.

No I did not have true face activated for this particular one in the video. Are you using DFHD or LIAEHD?

Neither, I'm using DF. If you're not using TrueFace then perhaps you're doing something wrong during training? Did you enable some feature that was not present in 1.0? GAN? Some CT enabled? Any style power? Maybe something during merging?

Did you ever find the answer?Did you ever find the answer? If so, would you mind sharing it and closing this issue? If so, would you mind sharing it and closing this issue?
