Failed Transaction-Please Help

Open HODLyoda opened this issue 8 years ago • 6 comments

I just downloaded the most recent version of the wallet for Mac, and followed the exact instructions on how to receive as I wanted to test sending a small amount before moving everything off of Binance. I created a secure seed, logged in, clicked receive, attached address to tangle, copied the address, and made a withdrawal from Binance to go to the address. Binance shows that it is still processing after 3-4 hours, and when I click on the history section of the wallet, it shows the address that I used, but with a 0 balance. I clicked on "show bundle", which says still pending, and the only option is to rebroadcast. I can't reattach for some reason. The transfer was for 10 IOTA. I also looked up the transaction on a tangle explorer, but I don't quite understand what I am looking at. Here is the link.

https://iotasear.ch/address/WPUYTFKRFPS9QEUUWXRLENZMZPCHCQWGJFFPP9QLTCRUTIARGLSIJVWBDV9KDTKWXQMXUDVRLKFNQWVJA

What the hell can I do? Do I just need to wait for it to eventually come through, or is something wrong? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hey thanks, Now there are two transfers showing in the history section, and they share the same address. The one has the 10 IOTA apparantly, but it's still not showing up in my balance. I do have the option to reattach for that one though. The other transfer is the exact same as it was before. Should there be 2 transfers with 1 address? Should I go ahead and reattach the one that is showing the 10 IOTA? Sorry for asking so many questions, this wallet really confuses me though.

Here is a shot of what I am looking at. Does it matter that there are now two transactions listed with the same address in the history section? I haven't tried reattaching it yet, because I'm not really sure if the two transaction thing is a problem or not. The transaction still shows as processing on the exchange as well. Photo attached.

Ok, cool. I’m doing a lot of reading on the wallet as we speak so hopefully I’ll gain a better understanding of it. You really came through for me; thanks a lot.

Hello. I recently transferred 5 Mi to Binance.com and was able to see that amount of iota. Then I used same steps to transfer 950 Mi and it is been almost a week and nothing has showed up in Binance.com. I have reattached that bundle few times with no positive result. Anyone suggest what I should do please. Thanks

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with the wallet as well. Now that I have made 3 separate transactions with my IOTA, I have a much better understanding as to how it all works! If you have been waiting for an entire week there may be something wrong. Do you have the address that you attached to the tangle and sent the IOTA to? Also, if you have atransaction number that would help as well. Have you looked on Binance to see if you have any pending transactions (deposits) still being processed? You should probably do that if you haven't. Also, you would have needed to send the second transaction from an address that is different from the one you used for the first transaction. Let me know if any of this applies to you when you get a chance.

Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated:

I downloaded the wallet from Iotas site and successfully sent 500 Iota to it, no problem. I then sent the same Iota back to Binance to trade. The transaction went through, but I sent Iota (i) instead of Miota (mi). I obviously now only have a fraction of my correct balance on Binance and my wallet is empty...anything I can do?

Thanks in advance.

Update: Created close to 50 new addresses, changed nodes and updated wallet. Not sure what I might be missing.
