The drafted PR is a bit stale, so it's better to split this refactor and do it incrementally, I will split it into various tasks and use the already done code from the draft PR

I think we should first improve the bundling of the frontend, and then proceed with the electron code.

I would go for vite for the frontend and then use https://electron-vite.org/ for electron.

Thoughts @begonaalvarezd ?

sounds good to me 👍🏼 as soon as moving to vite doesnt take too much effort 🙈 Please create a task and all that for this 🙏🏼
