I am geting white background at the top of content view controller.

First of all thanks for the library. I successfully implemented the library, but in the content view controller, I am getting a white background at the top. My need is to have a black status bar. So I have a view as subview to the view controller's base view at the top. But things are working for all the other controllers but for this pull up controller, I am getting this white background.
