Debug Default Project hangs on WSL2/Ubuntu

Open nicolaiarocci opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug On WSL2 (Ubuntu), I cannot use the "Debug Default Project" UI option. By clicking the green arrow it builds, then shows the debug toolbar, then it hangs there indefinitely.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Open a WSL2/Ubuntu shell (bash or zsh)
  2. dotnet new -o test -lang f#
  3. cd test && code . (ionide is already installed with default settings)
  4. Press the green arrow icon on Ionide panel (Debug Default Project)
  5. (build starts and completes with no errors)
  6. (debug toolbar shows up)
  7. (debug does not start)

Same project on Windows side, same steps, debugs just fine.

Expected behaviour Debug should start on WSL2/Ubuntu.
