Documentation for Authentication

I was looking for some kind of documentation on how to use the authentication that can be enabled in the settings. I am using the ServConn example to sync iobroker changes to my web Interface for which I would use this authentication parameter (maybe an addition in the socketSession?).

If there is already any kind of documentation, please excuse and close this thread.
