[🐛] Bug Report Title - FIS_AUTH error on some android devices in production

Open aqos156 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Issue

Crashlytics started reporting FIS_AUTH error on some android devices, but we cannot reproduce the issue. Redownloading google services file doesn't change it' content except for app_store_id property inside ios block. We know the google API keys have sufficient permissions. Any solutions that we found seemed like they weren't going to fix this and we are unable to reproduce the bug locally.

Release app has firebase-messaging.properties with content

version=23.0.0
client=firebase-messaging
firebase-messaging_client=23.0.0

Do you have any idea what this could be causing? Thank you for your time.

Unfortunately this:

we cannot reproduce the issue

Means we won't be able to reproduce it either, and without a reproduction we won't be able to help

These are old versions by the way:

      "@react-native-firebase/analytics": "14.3.0",
      "@react-native-firebase/app": "14.3.0",
      "@react-native-firebase/crashlytics": "14.3.0",
      "@react-native-firebase/messaging": "14.3.0",

You may want to google your error, last I searched there were many causes, all intermittent. In particular I suspect - just a guess - this is likely from a user on a VPN node that google cloud has marked as untrustworthy and is either throttling or blocking
