Emails didn't get delivered today due to our free plan at SendGrid meaning that we share our IP reputation with spammers

Our alternatives:

• ~pay $80/month to get a dedicated IP~
• send emails from our server: why not?
• send emails from a self-host service such as postal: people at karrot have a great write up of how they got to implement that option. Asking how they feel about it now: "it takes quite some resources (cpu/mem) so we have occasional timeouts that I worked around by have retry logic in Karrot."
