i'd submit a PR to help implement some of these but unfortunately i'm not familiar with typescript and i'm quite busy myself :(

suggestions to improve ai-gate:

• allow multiple tabs of the same tool to run. would be extremely useful.
• automatically switch layouts depending on how many tabs are open. i've noticed if i have 2 tabs open and i close one of them, it doesn't switch back to 'one-tab' layout, and rather stays split at 50/50 which gets annoying
• i swear i had more but i forgot them, i'll try to edit this issue to append any additional features/improvements if i notice/think of anything

and an extra QoL that shouldn't take much effort to implement:

• your application runs under x11/xwayland, could this get resolved perchance? xwayland sucks and despite being on NixOS and having environment.sessionVariables.NIXOS_OZONE_WL = "1"; and ELECTRON_ARGS = "--enable-features=VaapiIgnoreDriverChecks,VaapiVideoDecoder,VaapiVideoEncoder,AcceleratedVideoEncoder,AcceleratedVideoDecoder,UseMultiPlaneFormatForHardwareVideo";, your application completely ignores all of the flags
