Google Photos slow vs qtws-version

I was using this package for a while:

and noticed that the pyqtws version is much slower, especially on startup.

Is there something special about this package which speeds things up? The sandbox stuff?

Or is just pyqtws itself a bit slower than qtws and affecting performance (for the page load itself, like fetching the images)?
