OMGF doesn't work from subdirectory

I have a git flow project. When I attempt to run omgf from a subdirectory, I get this error:

omgf[error]: Git repository does not exist
omgf[error]: Git is not conform with OMGF model (see conform option).

Although standard Git operations work.
