Work title is displayed only in landscape view, not portrait

Problem

In portrait view, only the edition title is displayed.

Portrait view: Image

Landscape view: Image

Reproducing the bug

  1. Go to https://openlibrary.org/works/OL35085305W/The_Taming_of_the_Shrew
  2. Switch between landscape and portrait view
  • Expected behavior: work is shown in both
  • Actual behavior: work vanishes in portrait

Context

  • Browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc): Safari, Chrome, DuckDuckGo
  • OS (Windows, Mac, etc): iPadOS
  • Logged in (Y/N): y
  • Environment (prod, dev, local): prod

I believe based on the real estate available in mobile v. desktop setting the work title as display none was simply what we had decided during our design calls but if that's problematic, feel free to open a PR!

Sorry, but this aspect difference also applies in desktop view, at least on Chrome and DuckDuckGo. As seen in the example, there’s no shortage of real estate. The explanation lies elsewhere.
