Uses pathlib.Path to construct the cache file location and creates the parent directory before connecting, ensuring the SQLite database can be initialized even when the cache directory is missing

Hi It seems like gitlint is failing because of conventional commit structure not being followed. Please make sure that it adheres to it! @terriko the changes seem fine, we can merge this one after the linter fails are taken care of!
