“Driver Regression: Vulkan Pipeline Crash in The Last of Us Part II on Iris Xe – 31.0.101.3222 Stable, Newer Drivers Broken

Open rafayneedsasolution opened this issue 6 months ago • 6 comments

on my Intel Iris Xe laptop using the 31.0.101.3222 driver — the only version that doesn’t cause the red/black texture Vulkan bug.

✅ The game launches fine ✅ Graphics render correctly ⚠️ But it always crashes between 2–3 minutes of gameplay

I uploaded a clean gameplay video here as proof: 📽 https://youtu.be/c3bnAGwmFZg

I’ve filed a report to Intel, but haven’t heard back. This issue has existed for months, and still no proper fix.

If you’re on Iris Xe and trying to play modern games, you’re stuck between buggy drivers and ones that crash.

Hey!

Thank you for raising this issue.

I believe you might be the same person as from the Intel forums. :) Link: Here.

Thank you again for filing such a detailed bug. We have already managed to confirm the problem and have raised it with our driver development team.

Regards, Krystian
