usdm_drv problems
Hi, when I follow the tutorial to install the software, I meet with problems below. Maybe at the end of the procedure of make install
Starting QAT service modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'usdm_drv': Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) Restarting all devices. Failed to stop device Checking status of all devices. There is 0 QAT acceleration device(s) in the system:
*** Error:usdm_drv module not installed ***
make[1]: Nothing to be done for install-data-am'. make[1]: Leaving directory /home/lx/QAT'
any pointers much appreciated.

Can you review the last lines in /var/log/messages.. or dmesg. We need to see which symbols are unknown.

Even before that error, there is the error regarding invalid header. Because of this, the firmware for the device is not loaded. This suggests a conflict between the upstreamed QAT kernel drivers and the one included in the QAT package. Which version of the QAT driver were installed?
