Subscribe randomly failed with public repositories
Hi, Sometime subscribe on public repositories doesn't work.
This work:
/github subscribe runatlantis/atlantis releases
This don't work:
/github subscribe prometheus/prometheus releases /github subscribe traefik/traefik releases
And return this:
I don't find any pattern on what work and doesn't work.
Thanks for opening this issue! If you would like to help implement an improvement, read more about contributing and consider submitting a pull request.
I found these comments with the same problems, but the issue is close. https://github.com/integrations/slack/issues/559#issuecomment-676005615 https://github.com/integrations/slack/issues/559#issuecomment-681621970
I see the same issue trying to subscribe to releases in a public repository (one I don't own or control). Any kind of work-around or fix in site? Subscribing seems to work fine for repositories within our own orgs (public and private repos) where the app is installed.
My work-around is to use the feed integration in slack, like this
/feed subscribe https://github.com/traefik/traefik/releases.atom
Nice! That works.
Is this still relevant? If so, just comment with any updates and we'll leave it open. Otherwise, if there is no further activity, it will be closed.
It is still relevant. the error happens to some repos and will always happens (tried with https://github.com/Microsoft/TypeScript/)
There are so many issues reporting the same problem. Why does the app require a slack workspace? Can we install it to a repo/org without a slack workspace?
I'm getting the same error trying to subscribe to TypeScript, still an issue and not really clear why
