[Bug] - "Error: Type matcher must be fully specified!" when creating an empty configuration via Method Configuration

Describe the bug When defining a method selection, the "Apply"-button is deactivated until the first key press. If a user enters something (minimum one character) into a field and again removes it, the "Apply"-Button remains activated. When the Apply button then is clicked, the error shown below occurs.

When a valid configuration was created this way and second one is added, the apply button is not deactivated to begin with.

Expected behavior Either the error should be caught and a error message should be displayed or the "Apply"-button should remain deactivated,
