Same workflow as ReactComponents for Preact?

Is there a way to achieve the same workflow as described here https://github.com/insin/nwb/blob/master/docs/guides/ReactComponents.md#umd-externals

but using Preact. In other words I want to produce umd & ES6 modules build as well as have a demo site...but use preact-compat instead of React
