It's almost 100% the same as the gbxcart rw, unlicensed, commercially produced even with some downgrade on the power side.

I went talk to the seller and he lied on all questions I asked: he didn't admit it's a gbxcart rw clone, claims the very same ch34x chip is an "upgrade" on the usb side, and refused to answer the downgrade on the voltage converter. The seller also answer vaguely on whether it could be used with other open source frontends.

It's just an reminder that there's a commercial clone that takes the whole project away without mentioning it's original author, and clearly violates the CC BY-NC-SA license. Please let more people know this seller and warn others not to buy from it.

That flasher has been around for a long time, the license also used to be GNU GPL V3 fwiw

Yet it's not open sourced, so it violates that GPL v3 either.

It's a product made and sold out of China, they won't just stop making it over a license issue.

This is very interesting. I have bought various card flasher over the years, including the cyclone. I didn't know it was a clone of another project. Where can I find the original GPLv3 source code?
