It says my real balance is **** next to my ada on my nami wallet. not sure what it means but how do i get the ada back into my wallet?

there was a random transaction of 554 ada. the transaction id was 1bd607deb60f3f82adebb5b38b37f3a2c69f91dbde5227776a15b807420b70ab

What do you mean with random transaction? Did you not initiate that one?

I never sent 554 Ada to anything. At the time I was minting a cnft. In the transaction it says I sent the 60ada which was for the mint, but there was an extra 494ada sent. U can see it through the transaction id.

The transaction: https://cardanoscan.io/transaction/1bd607deb60f3f82adebb5b38b37f3a2c69f91dbde5227776a15b807420b70ab

If you click on the incoming and the additional outgoing address, you see that they belong to the same stake key, to the same wallet. It's just change coming back. That happens in almost all Cardano transactions.

This cannot be a transaction initiated from Nami, because Nami only sees and uses the first address of your wallet. That's why Nami now shows a wrong balance, but their should be an “i” next to the balance that opens a popup informing you about the real balance.

Unfortunately, most other wallet apps than Nami will move ADA away from this first address and so are hard to use in parallel.

ccvault.io has a “Single address mode” in the settings that is specifically for behaving nicely in cooperation with Nami. To see the funds again, you will have to move them to the first address, the one given to you by Nami as receive address from the other wallet app you are using.

so does that mean its going to come back into the wallet eventually. it is linked to my ccvualt wallet i think thatss where the issue wouldve come from.

No, it is in your wallet. ccvault should show the right balance.

It is just not, where Nami sees it, on the first address. And it will not go back to that one automatically eventually.

What I would do:

  1. In ccvault, go to settings. Enable “Single address mode (for Nami / CNTools)” and “Enable "Send All"”.
  2. In Nami, copy the receive address.
  3. In ccvault, go to send, paste the receive address (Be sure, it is the Nami receive address!), select “Send All” and confirm the sending. You are sending everything to yourself, basically, but to the address that Nami can see.
  4. Go to settings and disable “Enable "Send All"” again. It's dangerous. There's a reason it's disabled by default.
  5. In Nami, the whole funds should reappear, when the transaction has gone through.

If you wanted to have collateral set (your transaction looks like it used ADA set aside for collateral):

  1. In Nami, set the collateral again.
  2. In ccvault, go to settings. Enable “Collateral”. It should find and select the collateral set aside by Nami, automatically. And it will not use/move away that collateral again.

ok will do, why is send all dangerous? is there a chance it wont work

whodaman11 avatar Jan 27 '22 14:01 whodaman11

The developers of ccvault say: “Sending all Ada and tokens is considered dangerous as you might accidentally send away your whole wallet content. Only enable this feature temporally and when you need it.”

So, it's a precaution to accidentally hit that button and send everything you have to the wrong address.
