Can't preview ink files

Hello,

I'm having an issue where I simply can't preview any ink scripts I have saved. If I open an existing file using inky the spinning wheel on the right side simply continues indefinitely, and the preview pane stays blank regardless of any edits I make or pressing the restart preview button. I've tried this with several files, including saves of the "default" included stories (specifically the crime scene story and the one that shows by default when you open inky), and I always have this problem. I've also tried deleting the entire inky folder and reinstalling inky, as well as rebooting my PC.

The only time the preview works is when I open inky and do not load a specific file at all (so basically just the default unsaved starting text). Any ideas what the problem might be or what I could try to fix it?

Inky version: 0.14.1

ink version: 1.1.1

inkjs version: 2.1.0

OS: Windows 10

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open inky and save the starting text as its own ink file.
  2. Close inky and open that ink file specifically.
  3. The preview won't load (or at least won't for me).

First, your question is regarding the editor. I think you better put this at https://github.com/inkle/inky

Second, can you show us if there's any error in Console tab? That can be used as a hint. It's located at Window > Developer > Toggle Developer Tools ( Ctrl + Shift + I ) > Console tab.

i probably got the same here https://github.com/inkle/ink/issues/815 Though files from some directories work, and some wont. After testing a bit turned out paths are fine when directory has no folders, or, more like when directory where file is has many folders with many files in it.

Where do i dig? Thanks
