In the draw for the World Cup in 2018 and 2022 teams from pot 1 are draw to position 1 inside the groups they were selected to, but teams from pots 2,3 and 4 can be draw to any position not already occupied (pos 1 and any other filled) inside the groups they were selected to.
Currently, the position in those draws is fixed according to the pot being draw.
I bet I can be done just like groups are selected in your CL Draw for teams that were selected in pot 2, pot 3 and pot 4 but, instead of balls representing groups, they represent positions, like B2, B3 or B4(since B1 and any other pos1 are fixed).
Ex: Simulating Group B in the 2022 Fifa World Cup Draw
- Portugal is draw to Group B and assigned automatically to position B1.
- Netherlands is draw to Group B and then is draw to position B3.
- Senegal is draw to Group B and then is draw to Position B2.
- AFC/CONMEBOL is draw to group B and then is draw to the remaining position, B4.
And this could be extended to the other groups of the draw.
