libsecret is the next-generation tool for accessing a keyring, and works for the KDE keyring too.

For anyone who is not yet following the Mozilla Bug 309807: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309807

There is a patch for libsecret support inside Firefox, and it seems that it will eventually be merged.

No offense to the original developer, the maintainers and contributors, but I will dump this extension as soon as the patch hits Firefox mainline.

agreed; I would love to stop having to maintain this package. please keep us updated of any changes on the mozilla side!
