Could definitely do with a bold weight. But I like the addition of a black weight too for some real emphasis.

I am not Greek, but I agree that the alpha could do with a tail on the base of the stem to differentiate it from a Latin single storey "a".

Would love comparisons. These glyphs do look lovely, but it's hard to tell if they are an improvement over the original.
