Effect of Losing Beacons
In scenarios with very large number of 802.11 wireless nodes (Accesspoints and Stations), if the beacon interval for access points is set to the default 0.1s the simulation will encounter many error. The main reason for them is that colliding beacons get lost and some unlucky stations will not receive valid beacons from their AcessPoints. Such stations got disconnected as a reason. If these nodes are configured using DHCP, their interfaces' IP addresses are set to unspecefied. At this time, if a TCP connection is undergoing this will make many problems. Some ARP requests will be sent with their srcIP unscepified, which will crash the simulation. Thus I suggest: 1- The TCP application check for valid IP before sending 2- The ARP module should also check for such condition
