Sending a message creates a(n incoming) message notification

For the past few months, sending a message causes FaceSlim to indicate that an incoming message has arrived, including a notification. The only way to clear it is to open the thread with the newly sent message. Have tried clearing data for the app and logging back in, uninstalling and reinstalling, and upgrading to latest version. No change.

FaceSlim is not indicating you have a new message, Facebook is. It's a bug* on the Facebook mobile site.

That's certainly a possibility, but other Facebook-website-wrapper apps don't have this same problem. I eventually dumped FaceSlim for an alternative app when this issue got no attention.
