I'm writing a project in Dart, and it would be of great help to have this library in Dart!

I'm familiar with dart but not not very into it. But I can't see any difficulties for a port and the codebase of vlex is so damn small that it should be easy to do in just a couple of hours. Would you mind if I suggest that you give it a try first?
